I am a Charleston native and I absolutely LOVE living in the South....even though I married a Yankee. ; ) I tried my hand at living up north, but one cold, long winter, and I was begging to come back home. The old saying, "You can take the girl out of the South, but you can't take the South out of the girl" certainly has been proven true in the case of this Southern Belle.
I love my warm weather, my beautiful beaches, and more than anything, the hospitality of my fellow Charlestonians. Nowhere else in the world will you find such kindhearted souls...which is why I plan to never live anywhere else ever again.
I am a true Domestic Engineer. : ) I play Wife to my wonderful husband, Sean, and Mommy to my two gorgeous daughters, Hensley and Daycie (pronounced Day-see...not Daisy) who are 13 months apart. (Yes, we are nuts...thanks for asking.) I am also Doggie-Mommy to my three precious pups, Athena, Bailey, and Jackson, who are all rescues. As if that wasn't enough, I am also my family's Housekeeper, Chef, and Teacher.
I absolutely LOVE all things crafty, but have never tried my hand at scrapbooking. I love sewing, painting, making ugly things beautiful again, interior decorating...the list goes on and on.
I am SUPER frugal...I religiously use coupons and feel horribly guilty when I buy something that isn't on sale or without a coupon.
I have dreams of one day having my gift of being a talented writer finally pay off...hopefully this blog will help me get one step closer.
