Fall is finally here...my favorite time of year. While I love summer and always have, living in New England made me appreciate Fall in a whole new way...and in turn, its become my favorite season...and not just because I get to say, "Happy Fall, Y'all!" *snort* I just wish there were more of a Fall here in South Carolina. But, despite our lack of foliage, cool weather, apple orchards, and "true" fall, we can have an awesome party to celebrate all the season's fun happenings...thanks to elevencupcakes!

Fall has always been my favorite season. My birthday is the first day of Fall (Sept 23rd). I used to live in NY. You knew when fall was coming, the leaves would change from greens to dark hues of red, vibrant yellows, and awesome oranges. Sometimes if you were lucky you would get to see a purplish color, right before they turned brown and fell to the ground. I also love going pumpkin picking. It was awesome to wander through the pumpkin patch and be able to get the "best" looking pumpkin! (Of course you could never miss the air of Charlie and the Great Pumpkin).
It is hard to pick just one favorite thing about Autumn/Fall. I love the flavors and aromas of pumpkin, caramel apple, nutmeg, cinnamon, mint, and sweet potato. I love incorporating all of these flavors into my cooking/baking. I also love the weather. I love being able to layer fall colors with capes, sweaters, and ponchos. My son and I carve 4-6 pumpkins every year and take part in a number of Autumn related arts and crafts. This is most definitely my favorite time of year.
Fall is just a fabulous time of year for a lot of reasons. Where do I start......Apple orchards(which I can't find here in SC) the changing of the the trees colors which are way better up north :) pumpkins halloween and the month of November!! This month is special in our family because there are at least 2 birthdays a week in november. Starting with my birthday on the 1st and ending with my son jed's on th 25th I am a bkaer so I am busy this time of year because of Halloween birthdays Thanksgiving and finally Christmas. SO ia associate Fall with being busy and being able to showcase my talents. As you can see there really isn't anything bad about Fall. All good in fall y'all

I also live in Charleston and my favorite things about fall are Oyster Roasts and Sam Adams OCtoberfest! I bet you weren't expecting that one!

I was born and raised in California, where we don't really have a "fall" per se. This will be my third Fall living up north in Maine this year. I definitely have to say that the changing colors of the leaves, Autumn breezes, and all that corny-stuff is REALLY the best! It makes you appreciate something that much more when you're not around it all the time. <3
