Perfect Portions Food Scale Review & Giveaway CLOSED

 

I'm going to shock some of you with this post. I really hope that I don't turn any of you away with what I'm about to say. I'm putting this out there in an effort to help someone who may not even know they need help until they read this, because that was me.

I am a Compulsive Overeater and I just started attending Overeaters Anonymous (OA) to help me get in recovery. I've been overeating for 16 years now, so my way of eating was normal to me, even though I knew it wasn't normal to everyone else. OA recommends a food plan with lots of choices for people in recovery (I am one of them...YAY!) and the basis of the food plan is weighing and measuring your meals. Even if you're not a Compulsive Overeater, its really a wonderful thing to way your meals to get an idea of portion-size and the nutrition facts of your meals. As Americans, we have a distorted image of food. Between the our enormous portions, poor nutritional content, and our emotional attachment to food (think how every holiday is based around eating a meal or first dates are normally out to dinner), its no surprise that most of us are overweight and some of us have developed issues with food (ie. me being one of them.)
