Herman T's BBQ Sauce Review & Giveaway CLOSED

I'm a Carolina Girl. A Southern Belle. My Grandmother's family owns a BBQ Restaurant here in town and has all my life. Basically, BBQ is in my blood. In addition, I have a husband who will die for Pulled Pork BBQ. Literally. He needs a bumper sticker that reads, "I brake for Pulled Pork BBQ!" : ) because he totally does. lol

I was sent some samples of Herman T's BBQ Sauce mix to review and let me tell you, I'm a converted BBQ sauce buyer. I will never again walk into the grocery store and BUY pre-made BBQ sauce. (Yes, even if its my favorite kind and yes, even if its free.) Herman T's BBQ Sauce Mixes have totally changed that for me. Buying that pre-made crap just can't even hold a candle to making your own sauce FRESH at home.

Family Review Network sent me both the Original "Mild" Mix and the Spicy "Hot" Mix to try.


I'm loving both of them! We made Pulled Pork BBQ (recipe is a little further down) the same day we got them and used the Original Mild for mixin' in with Q and made the Spicy Hot for putting on top. I must say, the combo of the two flavors is the way to go!

Its so easy to make, too! All you need is ketchup, water, and a saucepan! Ten minutes later you've got hot, fresh, delicious BBQ sauce! The mix packets have enough in them for TONS of batches, so you're getting a fantastic value by buying the mix instead of pre-made sauce at the store. Not to mention that everyone will think you made your own sauce (which you did!) instead of knowing that you copped out and put store-bought crap in your Q.

And don't think Herman T's is only for BBQ...its not! You can put it on anything! Wings, chicken, steaks, the possibilities are endless! All in all, its the best BBQ sauce I've ever had!

Ingredients:
- Boston Butt
- 1 cup Water
- Salt & Pepper (and other spices if you like!)
- Herman T's BBQ Sauce
- Hamburger Buns

1. Get a Boston Butt in whatever size you'd like. Make sure it will fit in your crockpot!

2. Put Boston Butt in your crockpot with 1 cup water. Rub Boston Butt with salt, pepper, and other spices.

3. Cook on "high" for 2 hours, then turn to "low" and cook for 6-8 hours.

4. Pour out water, tear apart Boston Butt with fork until shredded and add one batch of prepared Herman T's Original Mild BBQ Sauce. Mix together and turn to "keep warm" on crockpot.

5. Prepare one batch of Herman T's Spicy Hot BBQ Sauce.

6. Add BBQ to half of hamburger bun. Top with Spicy Sauce as desired and cover with other half of bun.

7. Enjoy!!!!
